‘Watertight Marketing’ Nominated For International Small Business Book Awards 2014
Watertight Marketing, 01.05.14, Bristol – The best-selling business book ‘Watertight Marketing’ by Bryony Thomas has been nominated for the Small Business Book Awards 2014.
Watertight Marketing (£14.99, Panoma Press) has already been featured as CIM Book of the Month, and with 53 five star reviews on Amazon, has been described as the book of ‘no nonsense wisdom’, helping business owners to cut through the marketing jargon and understand the fundamentals of making their business profitable and sustainable.
Watertight Marketing has been written to systematically walk the reader through how to plug the profit leaks in their new business activity. Aimed specifically at small business owners who are ready to step-up their marketing and sales, author and marketing expert Bryony Thomas provides effective advice on how to make it all pay off in simple to understand terms.
Bryony’s understanding and demystifying of the marketing process comes from an impressive career, working with all types of businesses, from one-man bands through to FTSE 100 companies. Having risen through the ranks to Divisional Marketing Director by the age of 28, Bryony quit the corporate ladder in 2008 and set up her own consultancy business and has since established her reputation as a compelling business speaker and writer.
The Small Business Book Awards celebrate the best business books that appeal to entrepreneurs, small business owners, CEOs, managers and their teams.
The Small Business Book Awards are more than just an honour — they include a prestigious online event in which readers, fans, book lovers and the small business community show their support for authors and others in the industry. Social media sharing is encouraged, and the Awards technology platform enables book authors to network and engage online with readers and fans.
“This year we’ve changed a few things. For the first time The Small Business Book Awards are a judged competition, based on excellence. A Judging Panel will determine the winners. We still have Community Voting — the Community will choose for the ‘Community Choice’ designation of winners.” noted Anita Campbell, CEO of Small Business Trends and Founder of the Awards.
It’s a book that’s already received public backing. Bryony raised £5,000 from 87 backers on crowd-funding platform Zequs (previously known as PleaseFundUs) to fund publication of Watertight Marketing. With a social vote forming part of the judging criteria in these awards, she’s hoping it will yet again prove popular.
Speaking of the nomination, Bryony says:
“It was great to have so much support for the book before it even existed and the continued recognition and success over recent months has helped show my backers that there was a real need for this book in marketplace. I’m thrilled that the book has been nominated for the Small Business Book Awards 2014 and hope that anyone who has read the book or worked with me in the past will help support this nomination by voting.”
Voting commences May 1, 2014 and fans can vote here:
